The agency proposes to introduce a new system of disposal of property seized by state officers
From 1 January 2014 it will be possible to sell and buy seized property from any location to any person through a special data system posted on the Internet, says Minister of Justice Oleksandr Lavrynovych, as reported by the agency’s press-service.
Respective draft orders of the Ministry of Justice on approval of the new procedure for realization of seized property are posted on the Ministry's website ("Bills Under Discussion" page) to offer suggestions and comments.
According to the Minister of Justice, the new order for realization of seized property will provide for public sales and auctions through a special information system on the Internet. In particular, applications for participation in electronic sales will be submitted and processed electronically, trading will be Internet-based as well, same as processing the information on the sales, etc.
Introduction of e-trading is expected to provide free access to individuals and legal persons for realization of seized property will allow its purchase from any location using Internet technologies. This, in turn, will increase the efficiency of realization of property and eliminate corruption schemes.
