Government wants to secure purchase of housing
As part of the Interdepartmental Commission for the preparation of proposals to take immediate action to complete the construction of problematic housing projects, Regional Development Ministry generalized proposals of the concerned central executive authorities, regional and Kyiv City administrations, the Prosecutor General, the National Bank, as well as Investor victim assistance Association concerning legislative settlement of matters arising during the construction of housing projects, and strengthening investor protection, announced the Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Temnyk, the press service of the Ministry informs.
According to the Minister, to prevent situations similar to that with the group of investment and construction companies "Elita-Center", Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Vilkul instructed specialized agencies to provide to the Ministry of Regional Development their findings and suggestions for amending the legislation.
Hennadii Temnyk added that after summarizing the conclusions of central authorities, proposals on legal regulation of issues arising in housing construction, and strengthening investor protection will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Given the considerable social importance of resolving these issues, interested NGOs are invited to join the central executive bodies in elaborating proposals to the Interdepartmental Commission.
