The agreement has been signed
The operators of the gas-transport systems of Ukraine and Poland, PJSC Ukrtransgaz and Gaz-System SA, have signed a supplementary agreement to the network operator agreement for gas transportation, which details the procedure for communicating and imparting the production and technical information by the companies, Vesti reports.
As noted, this is the way that essentially streamlines the procedure for measuring and accounting daily volume of natural gas being supplied to Ukraine as reverse flows from the territory of Poland through GMS Germanovychi.
"This decision will bring the arrangements and understandings reached before between the two countries in conformity with the norms of the European legislation related to energy issues. Because of these outcomes the procedure for gas import to Ukraine has been significantly simplified", - mentioned Andrei Kobolev, Chair of Management Board of NJSC Naftogaz Ukraine.
The accord between the parties will make it possible to distribute gas in compliance with the Distribution Networks Code.
Thus, daily gas volume to be supplied to the users of the gas transportation systems through GMS Germanovychi, and being correspondingly measured will equal the supply rates determined before. The difference between aggregate volume of gas per month according to the rates set for all users and actual gas volume delivered via the said GMS will be allocated among all users in proportion to the volumes determined before.
The new procedure has come into force since April 14, 2014.
