It was stopped due to NATO Summit.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expects for the renovation of border traffic with Poland, the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine wrote in Facebook, Correspondent.net reports.
“Currently it is expected to obtain official confirmation on the Polish part on renovation of border traffic, which was stopped at night from 3 to 4 July 2016 in accordance with the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Poland on the rules of conducting NATO Summit and celebrating World Youth Days”, the message says.
The Ukrainian external policy department noted that on 23-31 July approximately 2 million pilgrims, among which there were at least 5 thousand registered citizens of Ukraine, arrived in Krakow during the period of celebrating World Youth Days, which were connected with the visit of the Holy Father Pope Francis.
According to the information of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Krakow, within the specified period there weren’t any appeals from Ukrainian pilgrims about the loss of passport documents, robbery, other emergencies on the territory of official venues.
The officials of the Consulate and MFA of Ukraine, which were sent for providing consular assistance during the events, worked as usual.
