The parties have different opinions regarding the relationships with Russia.
U.S. and the European Union have common position on the conflict in Ukraine; however, they have different opinions regarding the relationships with Russia, President of the European Union Donald Tusk said after the negotiations with U.S. President Donald Trump, Correspondent.net reports quoting Reuters.
He noted that they agreed on the military countering violence and further relationships.
The interlocutors also discussed the foreign policy, security, climate and trade relationships and agreed on many issues, primarily on the fight against terrorism.
“However, some questions are still open, such as climate and trade. And I am not 100% confident that we have the common position, common opinion regarding Russia, though when it referred to the conflict in Ukraine, it seemed that we were on the same level”, Tusk emphasized.
Previously Trump claimed that Russia should be held responsible for its actions in the Crimea and on Donbass, as well as fulfill Minsk agreements.
