In New York, the federal agents interrogated the Russian businessman, president of Skolkovo Foundation Victor Vekseleberg, The New York Times reports.
Reportedly, the interrogation was conducted two months ago in New York airport by order of the U.S. Special Counsel on Russia Robert Mueller. After Vekselberg stepped off his private jet, the agents asked him several questions as well as studied the content of his electronic devices.
Supposedly, the special counsel was curious about Vekselberg’s presence at the ceremony of Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony in January 2017.
It should be reminded that U.S. suspect Russia of influencing the results of presidential elections of 2016. In mid-February 2018, U.S. authorities pressed official charges to 13 Russian citizens and three Russian companies, considering that their interference in U.S. political system was proved.
