Facebook developers announced about the launch of the pilot program, which will allow the group administrators to charge a fee for exclusive materials.
The testing will be done at several groups about cooking, home improvement etc., finance.ua reports quoting The Next Web.
It is noted that the new function will operate as follows: the administrator will inform users about the presence of paid subscription, after which they will have their cards opened, at which it will be possible to see a preview and find out the price for access.
Currently, Facebook itself will not obtain money for paid subscriptions, but the administrators will have to share 30% of revenues for the first year and 15% after with Apple and Google.
By the way, the new function is available only at mobile devices. The subscription prices fluctuate from $4.99 to $29.99 monthly (about UAH 130-784).
If the user wants to sign up, the administrator approves the application and the monthly subscription fee is withdrawn from the account. If the user suddenly cancels the subscription, he will be able to have access to the exclusive content until the end of month.
