Naftogaz of Ukraine refuted media information about the alleged request to allocate more than 230 billion UAH of budget support for its own activities and reimbursement of expenses on gas supplies to the population, HB reports, as Naftogaz’s Chief Commercial Officer Yuri Vitrenko wrote in Facebook.
"The information that Naftogaz requests UAH 230 billion from the Cabinet of Ministers is the misinformation", he said.
Earlier, Ukrainian News Agency published this information, referring to a copy of the relevant request to the Cabinet of Ministers.
It should be reminded that the government decided to take 90% of the profits from Naftogaz. According to Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman, this will be fair - “instead of excessive salaries and bonuses, this all should all in the state treasury.”
Naftogaz of Ukraine is 100% state owned. It includes the operator of the Ukrainian gas transportation system and underground gas storage facilities (UGS), Ukrtransgaz, the largest gas producing company, Ukrgazdobycha. NJSC is a monopolist in transit and storage of natural gas in underground storage facilities, as well as in the transportation of oil by pipeline through the country.
At the end of 2017, Naftogaz received a net consolidated profit of UAH 39.5 billion, which is 2.2 times more than in 2016. According to the audited Deloitte report, sales revenue in 2017 increased by 18% to UAH 227.5 billion
