In the near future Regulation will be submitted to the Ministry of Justice for state registration
National Commission on Securities and Stock Market (SSMNC) approved the draft decision "On ensuring the existence of the registered securities in dematerialized form" at the planned meeting, held on 22 of January 2014.
"Developed Regulation establishes procedure for actions of issuer and professional depository of Ukraine to ensure the existence of a non-documentary registered securities issues of which have not been transferred into this form in accordance with legislation prior to the enactment of the Law of Ukraine "On the Depository System of Ukraine", and order of service in the depository system of securities accounts opened by the issuer in the process of dematerialization, including the enactment of the law" - said Irina Kurochkina, director of department of regulation of depository, clearing and settlement activities of SSMNC.
According to her, the document is designed to empower investors in registered securities which were issued in dematerialized form before the enactment of this law.
