The Commission calculates election expenses
The Central Election Commission has confidence that the current composition of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will approve the decisions on allocating 986 billion hryvnias for early parliamentary elections in Ukraine, Deputy Chief of the CEC Andry Magera said, as RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports.
“The Central Election Commission has appealed to the Ministry of Finance, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, at last, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, to edit the budget and envisage outlays on pre-term parliamentary elections in the amount of 986 billion hryvnias. The lion’s share of the said spending, over 80%, is the money to be paid to the members of district and precinct election commissions for their work. At that, there is a tendency to rise spending on fuel, communication services, and transport. This is the key issue the parliament is tackling now, it will be rather complicated to hold elections unless they are backed by the funds as I’ve mentioned. This matter is of the urgent importance”, - A.Magera said.
He has expressed his confidence that the parliament will vote on modifying the budget and envisage the money on early parliamentary elections.
