The Cabinet of Minister of Ukraine proposes to send 25% of individual income taxes collected in the regions to the government budget, and 75% - to Kyiv, the government draft law On Amendments to the Budget Code of Ukraine (as regards the reform of inter-budget relations), the text of which is available on the website of RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна).
“The tax on individual income is to be paid according to the Tax Code of Ukraine in the territory of Ukraine, except the territory embracing Kyiv and its outskirts, in the amount of 25% and 75% - in Kyiv”, - according to the document containing the amendments to article 29 of the Budget Code, which determines the sources of general income funds to refill the Ukraine’s government coffer.
Pursuant to the current Budget Code, Kyiv transfers 50% of income tax to the government coffer.
Meantime, according to the amendments to article 64, chapter ІІІ, it is proposed to add 25% of individual income tax to the municipal budget of Kyiv, 60% of individual income tax – to the regional municipal budgets.
