In 2014, around 6.5 thousand employees were dismissed from the National Fiscal Service, said Director of the National Fiscal Service of Ukraine Ihor Bilous, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports.
“The process of lustration of public servants working for fiscal and customs authorities began in March 2014. Before adopting the Law On Lustration, the Ministry of Revenue and Duties dismissed above 6.5 thousand officials from job“, - he said.
He noted that the minister for revenue and the deputy of the latter were released, too, along with 22 out of 26 chiefs of departments at the central administrative office, 23 out of 28 chiefs of the regional HOs, 21 out of 28 chiefs of the investigative task force at the regional tax inspectorate units, and 24 out of 26 customs chiefs.
“As regards the National Fiscal Service, there were dismissed 73 employees after the law On Lustration was approved. Besides, the checks of authenticity of documents are still underway, inquiries are being sent, and the information about 1 916 employees listed in the NFS and 518 of those accountable to the NFS is available on the official website. The decision on their further possible reemployment in the NFS will be passed after obtaining the results of checks“, - he said.
