The Deputy General Prosecutor has been dismissed due to reorganization.
Deputy General Prosecutor as well as Head of the Odessa Region Prosecutor’s Office David Sakvarelidze has been dismissed from the Prosecutor’s Office, as per the message posted on the GPOU’s site.
“Lately the deputies’ letters and requests regarding the incompliance with requirements of articles 8, 15 of the Law On Public Prosecutor’s Office, stipulated in structure and staff profile of the post of the Deputy General Prosecutor of Ukraine – the Odessa Region General Prosecutor, which is occupied by D. Sakvarelidze - have been repeatedly submitted to the General Prosecutor’s Office. The justification of the decision on establishing the mentioned post in the District Administrative Court of the city of Kyiv on the lawsuit of the people’s deputy of Ukraine”, the message explains.
As it was reported, on March 26, the people’s deputies, elected from Odessa region, sent to General Prosecutor of Ukraine Victor Shokin the letter, in which they endorsed the request of prosecutors of regional prosecutor’s offices of Ukraine, demanding to dismiss David Sakvarelidze from the occupied position and from prosecution authorities.
