Travelling across the CIS will get easier
Entry documents for CIS citizens are about to become simplified. Passenger’s customs declaration within the CIS is planned to become uniform, says the press service of the Ministry of Revenue and Duties.
The declaration’s format and rules for filling out were agreed upon 11 June at the 57th Council of the heads of customs services of the CIS (CHCS CIS) in Kherson.
Member States of the Commonwealth will sign the protocol on exchange of information between customs services, as well as coordinate efforts to combat the unauthorized re-export of goods.
In addition, on 11 June Ukraine’s Ministry of Revenue and Duties and customs services of the Russian Federation and Belarus signed a number of bilateral documents on cooperation.
In particular, the memorandum was signed with the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus of intent on cooperation during Hockey World Championship in Belarus. The competition will be held in 2014.
Ukrainian customs experts and their Russian counterparts agreed on an updated plan of joint measures to promote cooperation, including towards customs control of citizens planning to attend the Sochi Olympics 2014.
