The escaped from London people’s deputy Alexander Onyshchenko, put on Ukrainian wanted list, is sure that for Britain’s jurisdiction GPOU does not have sufficient grounds for his extradition to Ukraine, he wrote in Facebook.

“The General Prosecutor will not be able to put pressure on Britain’s jurisdiction”, he wrote.

Onyshchenko also stated that he does not shrink from the meeting with GPOU investigators, but agrees to cooperate with them only in London.

Previously the General Prosecutor’s Office reported that “Volia Narodu” Deputy Onyshchenko, suspected of embezzlement of state property, can go from London to Russia, because then it will be more difficult to extradite him from RF.

As it is known, on Tuesday the Kyiv Solomenskyi District Court permitted apprehension and arrest of Onyshchenko.

On August 11 the Interpol National Central Bureau (NCB) for Ukraine received materials for putting Deputy Alexander Onyshchenko on the international wanted list and plans to transfer them to Interpol.

General Prosecutor Yurii Lutsenko stated that the extradition of Onyshchenko depends on whether NABU and SAP convince London court in sufficiency of evidence.

Lutsenko also added that when Onyshchenko will be put on the international wanted list, the Interpol’s bureau issues a “red card” for apprehension in all countries of the world.

It was previously reported that Onyshchenko is in London, from where he plans to go into litigation with Ukrainian law enforcement.

He and his partners in crime are charged with illegal embezzlement of funds of Ukrgasvydobuvannya State Company and causing state the damages, amounting to USD 1.6 bln.
