The Ministry of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine and representatives of the alcohol and tobacco industries and oil traders are going to develop a new format of excise policy
This was announced by the Ministry of Revenues' press service.
The Ministry’s priority areas and «growth points» regarding tax and customs policy were presented at the Investment Council’s meeting, as well as Ministry of Revenues' Initiative on convergence of tax and business accounting to be considered by investors.
The Council will also look into questions of assessing the effectiveness of tax benefits, combating illicit trade in tobacco products, intellectual property protection and other topics of concern to businesses in Ukraine.
First meeting approved personal composition of the Board and the Council’s provisions, discussed the format of the working groups' functioning and signed the Agreement on Cooperation between the Ministry of Revenue and Duties and the Chamber of Commerce of Ukraine.
The Council includes 56 owners and top managers of Ukrainian businesses, foreign investors, international organizations, business associations, trade unions, etc.
