Since October 5, the State Enterprise (SE) “System of Electronic Auction of Seized Properties” starts to sell seized land plots through online auctions, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“On October 5, 2016, the amendments to the Law On Enforcement Proceeding, which sets forth the new process of sale of seized land plots, come into force. Currently these lots can be sold on the electronic auctions, what SETAM SE will start doing in October”, according to the message.
SE also clarified that on September 21, Ukrenergo NJSC signed the cooperation agreement on organization of asset sale.
It stipulates that excess properties of energy companies will be sold on SETAM open auctions, in which everybody will be able to participate.
“On September 30, the first lot was sold – scrap metal of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. During the auction the price increased by 10% - from the staring price of UAH 7.38 mln to UAH 8.08 mln”, the SE press-service reports.
In addition, on September 14, SETAM SE received the accreditation of State Property Fund (SPF) of Ukraine within the memorandum on cooperation regarding the organization of sale of state property. As a part of such cooperation, it is planned to sell small privatization targets through electronic auctions.
“The realization of the reached agreement will allow simplifying the system of sale of privatization targets, making it more open, reducing the level of bureaucracy and providing the opportunity of a wider access to such properties”, according to the message.
