Ministry continues consulting citizens
The Ministry of Justice provided 94 thousand people in Ukraine with free primary legal assistance in the I half 2013. To compare, in the first six months of 2012 officials of justice provided assistance to 90 thousand people, the agency’s press-service informs.
Most active in providing primary legal aid were rayon departments of justice in the Mykolaiv region (on average every department of justice of the region provided 328 consultations against the average rate in Ukraine of 148), Lviv (292), Ternopil (238), Khmelnytsky (209), Cherkasy (195) Zakarpatia (190), Vinnytsia (184), Dnipropetrovsk (181), Poltava (173), Luhansk (166) regions.
For public reception offices created by under the Main Department of Justice, the average figure was 394. Most consultations were provided by main departments in Ternopil (2112), Mykolaiv (1685), Lviv (1173), Dnipropetrovsk (626), Khmelnitsky (418) regions.
In the first six months 2013 employees of main and rayon departments of justice worked in 901 public reception offices, created under local administrations, centers of social services for family, children and youth, the executive bodies of the rayon and city councils.
Employees at bodies of justice participated in the work of 2101 off-site consulting points, which made 4325 trips, bringing 16,913 residents of remote rural areas the free legal assistance.
