The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office swiftly established that Head of State Fiscal Service Roman Nasyrov was likely to plan leaving abroad, according to SAP statement, published on its Facebook page, Correspondent.net reports.
«Swiftly, we became aware that the suspect may possibly leave abroad as well as there existed the probability of eliminating evidence; that is why, yesterday, the prosecutor passed the decision on undertaking several urgent procedural actions. Once the investigation started yesterday, the Head of the State Fiscal Service was immediately admitted for treatment», SAP Head Nazar Kholodnitsky said.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau was assigned to prepare the petition on applying restraining measures to Nasyrov.
Kholodnitsky noted that taking into account the possibility of the suspect to deter investigation and love to escape abroad of the parties to the «gas case», we will move for applying restraining measures for Roman Nasyrov in the form of detention and demand his dismissal.
As Correspondent.net reported, NABU investigators served charges to SFS Head Roman Nasyrov in Theophania hospital as part of the investigation of the «gas case». After this, according to doctors, he was diagnosed with myocardial infarction.
SAP states that Nasyrov caused damages to the state, amounting to UAH 2 bln.
