The adjudication of the complaint of the public prosecutor’s office on the measure of restraint for the former people’s deputy will be held on May 12.
The Kyiv Appellate Court postponed the adjudication of the appellate complaint regarding the former deputy Nikolai Martynenko on May 12, UNN reports.
The judge reports that the adjudication of the complaint of the public prosecutor’s office on the ruling of the Solomensky District Court on the denial of application of the measure of restraint in the form of the detention in custody of Martynenko, is put off for May 12.
It should be reminded that today, as of 01:00 pm, the session is to be held on the same issue in the Appellate Court in regard to First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC Sergei Pereloma.
As reported, on April 20, NABU detectives and SAP prosecutors arrested two persons – the former people’s deputy of four convocations, the former head of the parliamentary committee on fuel and energy Martynenko and his associate – on the suspicion of committing crimes on part 1 of art.255 (creation of criminal organization) and part 5 of art.191 (Misappropriation, embezzlement or conversion of property by malversation) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The law enforcement officers suspect them of the embezzlement of funds of VostGOK SE, amounting to USD 17.28 mln, through illegal conclusion and execution of the agreement of sale and purchase of the uranium concentrate of VostGOK SE through the Austrian broker company Steuermann, SAP demands to select for the suspect Martynenko the measure of restraint in the form of detention in custody for 60 days with the alternative of making bail, amounting to UAH 300 mln.
