The draft law was endorsed by 240 people’s deputies.
The Verkhovna Rada endorsed in the second reading the draft law №6327 on State Financial Guarantees of Provision of Medical Services and Pharmaceuticals. 240 people’s deputies voted for the respective document, Correspondent.net reports quoting Interfax-Ukraine.
Prime Minister Volodyr Groisman and acting Minister of Healthcare Uliana Suprun, who were actively gesticulating, encouraging the parliamentarians to vote for adoption of this draft law, were present in the session hall during voting for this document.
The program of state guarantees, stipulated by the draft law, will determine the list and the volume of medical services and pharmaceuticals, the payment of which will be guaranteed by the state at the expense of State Budget.
As stipulated by the medical reform, the program will be developed by the Ministry of Healthcare in coordination with the Ministry of Finance. The Verkhovna Rada will approve it under the Law on State Budget for the respective year.
According to the adopted draft law, not less than 5% GDP will be allocated for implementation of the program of medical guarantees. The spending on the program will be protected items of the budgetary expenditure.
After a successful voting, Groisman thanked those parliamentarians, who endorsed the draft law in the second reading and in general.
