The prosecution authorities, including the General Prosecutor’s Office, dismissed 288 employees under the lustration process (the Law of Ukraine On Government Cleansing), Ukrainian News reports quoting the reply of the General Prosecutor’s Office, Finance.ua reports.
“208 prosecutors and investigators were dismissed from prosecution authorities that makes up 22% of the total number of lustrated persons in the state (924)”, according to the reply.
Out of the total number of the reported, 70 persons were dismissed in the central apparatus, 132 – in regional prosecutor’s offices, 6 – in the National Prosecution Academy.
According to court rulings, according to the general prosecutor’s orders, 2 prosecutors were reinstated in their position in prosecution bodies – Maxim Melnichenko and Dmitri Lubchuk, who were dismissed under lustration.
