Ukraine is 41th out of 42 countries
In terms of purchasing power Ukrainians are still among the poorest European citizens, occupying second to last place on the ranking among the 42 states. The data are taken from the annual report "Purchasing power of Europe 2013/2014", prepared by experts of international company GfK, as reported by "Podrobytsi".
Average citizen of our country has almost six times less money for daily expenses than an ordinary European. It is estimated that in 2013 the purchasing power per capita in Ukraine will be € 2.206 thousand.
According to forecasts of experts at GfK, in 2013 the total amount of purchasing power of European countries will be about € 6.8 trillion, and per capita in Europe - € 12.890 thousand.
The best buying power is observed in countries like Liechtenstein (€ 58,844 thousand), Switzerland (€ 36,351 thousand), Norway (€ 31,707 thousand).
The spots of the ranking, alongside Ukraine, belong to Belarus (€ 2,329 thousand) and Moldova (€ 1,284 thousand).
