Kyiv hosted International Arbitration Conference
Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, one of the main objectives is to provide representation of state interests in disputes with foreign jurisdictional authorities, interested in the development of arbitration practice in Ukraine. This was stated by Minister of Justice of Ukraine Olena Lukash at the International Arbitration Conference, the Ministry’s press service informs.
«Streamlining arbitration may go in several areas: implementation of arbitration procedures more promptly, developing pre-dispute mediation and reconciliation, development of an effective mechanism for application of interim measures, improved efficiency for enforcement of arbitral awards», Ms Lukash said.
According to Lukash, these measures will allow high quality arbitration and the parties to reduce costs, as well as contribute to the promotion of arbitration as an effective means of resolving disputes.
Olena Lukash stressed that for this skilled professionals, practitioners, scholars in the field of international commercial arbitration are sorely needed.
«We feel the need for high-level professionals, able to properly defend the interests of Ukraine in international arbitration», concluded the Minister of Justice.
