On Friday, March 16, the General Prosecutor’s Office did not find violations during searches in the express delivery company “Nova Poshta”, according to the company’s message, Ukrainian News reports.
Reportedly, on March 19, General Prosecutor Yurii Lutsenko had meeting with Nova Pochta’s co-owner Vyacheslav Klimov.
“Yurii Lutsenko confirmed that during searches, conducted in the group’s companies on March 16, no violations were found. The seized funds of Post Finance clients will be returned. The legal department of Nova Poshta Group will respond to all questions of the General Prosecutor’s Office and provide all necessary materials that will allow taking legal decision on the case”, according to the group’s statement.
It is also reported that Lutsenko is concerned about the use of transporters in illegal goods transportation schemes.
“The parties agreed to develop the joint action plan in order to prevent possible cases of transporting illegal goods”, according to the statement.
Reportedly, General Prosecutor Yurii Lutsenko accuses Nova Poshta of transporting large volumes of tax-free alcoholic goods and narcotic substances.
