«Hrushiv-Budomezh» checkpoint was opened
Today, 2 of December the grand opening of a new «Hrushiv-Budomezh» checkpoint took place on the Ukrainian-Polish border. The customs checkpoint «Hrushiv» of Lviv Customs has already started working, the press service of Ministry of revenue informs.
79 experts from the Ministry will serve at the customs office, which will carry out customs procedures and customs control to provide 17 lanes. At the moment 6 main lanes (3 in each direction) and 2 additional lanes (for buses control) already operate at the checkpoint. Capacity of the checkpoint at night will be around 3000 cars and 8000 people.
In general, according to the anticipated development strategy of the Ministry of revenue and duties on the customs infrastructure building program during 2013 the reconstruction of 15 customs checkpoints on the border of Ukraine and the EU take place. As part of the development of customs and cross-border cooperation with European colleagues the launch of joint customs control on the border of Ukraine and the EU also is being discussed.
