Civil servants to face penalties
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine suggests increasing the responsibility of supervising officials for violations during inspections, says the head of the State Service for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship Development Mykhailo Brodskyi at a press briefing in the Cabinet.
According to the politician, a relevant draft law that provides for a fine of 850-1700 UAH for the first-time violation and 2,500 UAH - for the second, was approved at the Cabinet session on 17 April. "I proposed to impose a fine for the first violation, and remove from post - for the second. Unfortunately, this suggestion did not find support, and the first violation is punishable by a fine of 850-1700 UAH, while the second - a fine of 2500 UAH with the possibility to submit a proposal to the management of the official liberation," said M.Brodskyi.
The Ministry of Revenue and Duties intends to reduce the number of inspections by 15% in ll quarter 2013, compared with the same period last year – down to 1,400 economic entities.
Initiative of gradual decrease of inspections and use of electronic audits is currently being discussed with entrepreneurs.
Minister of Revenue and Fees Oleksandr Klymenko signed the schedule of tax audits for the second quarter of 2013 with a tendency to further reduction. In I quarter 2013 planned inspections reduced by 24%, while in 2012 8 thousand enterprises of all ownership forms underwent inspections.
