The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine has approved the new rules for granting licenses for tour operators’ activities. The decision was adopted during the governmental meeting as one of the measures of further reforming of tourism industry, said the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Yulia Kuznetsova, the press-service of the ministry reports.
“As our Ministry is also responsible for tourism, one of its directions is granting licenses for tour operators’ activities. Today the Cabinet of Ministers has endorsed the licensing terms and conditions and approved them within the new Law on Licensing”, said Yulia Kuznetsova. According to her, the primary task of the reform in this field is to simplify the terms and conditions for business. “It is very important that this approach is endorsed by the representatives in the field”, she added.
The future of cancellation of licenses will involve operators dealing with overseas as well as domestic tourism. Surrender of licenses will allow to simplify the conditions for conducting business, to simplify the entry to tourism market for new companies, to increase rivalry and, as a result, the quality of tourist services.
