Certification of grain and grain products will be simplified in Ukraine, according to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
In Ukraine prepared a draft law, which amends the Law "On Grain and Grain Market." According to this instrument, domestic farmers can once again be allowed voluntary certification of quality of grain and grain products in the domestic operations with them. Thus, farmers will need to obtain less permits to conduct their activities. The Bill proposes to leave the mandatory certification only for export and import operations.
At the same time, simplified certification will not affect product safety. The State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service will continue to to issue phytosanitary certificate confirming grain safety indicators.
Ukraine's introduction of voluntary certification of grains and grain products during domestic operations is consistent with international practice agribusiness. Also the bill will allow for the deregulation of the market and increase the competitiveness of domestic agribusiness.
