Beijing encouraged Washington to stop damaging U.S.-Chinese relations with unfounded accusations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China said that U.S. Vice President Mike Pence had slandered the country, referring to Beijing’s attempts to undermine the support of President Donald Trump in the States, korrespondent writes.
A statement by the Spokesperson of the Department of State says that China has always adhered to the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, including the United States, and is not interested in it.
At the same time, Beijing’s policy toward Washington is "consistent and clear".
It should be reminded that Pence said that the Chinese authorities are campaigning against the Republican Party to influence the mid-term congressional elections on November 6. These actions, in his opinion, are a response to Trump’s trade policy.
Earlier it was reported that the United States is planning to launch a broad attack against China, accusing it of hostile activity against American companies, the theft of intellectual property, cyberattacks and interference in elections.
