U.S. railroad transportation manufacturer The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. intends to enter the Ukrainian market in the near term, Deputy Vice President on Global Marketing Adem Saglik informed, HB reports quoting Interfax-Ukraine.
“We study the Ukrainian market within several years and suppose that we will enter this market in the near future”, he said.
Meanwhile, Saglik finds it necessary to introduce some legislative amendments in order to increase Ukraine’s investment attractiveness for foreign companies.
“It is important to adopt several laws, in particular, on the market liberalization so that private operators can also have access to the market and there is competition… For us, it is very important to see that the country’s government supports the private traction”, he said.
According to Saglik, the sooner Ukraine liberalizes the traction market, the more European companies will come and start working.
It should be noted that previously, Greenbrier considered the option of creating a leasing company in Ukraine.
