Law is approved
Lithuanian Government on Wednesday approved a draft law on the introduction of the single European currency in the country; it now has to be approved by the Seim during the spring session, which begins in March. This is stated in the press service release of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country, the Prime Minister informs.
Lithuanian Ministry of Finance expects that the euro will be introduced in the country on January 1, 2015. Neighboring Latvia adopted the euro on January 1, 2014.
