The elections will be held on October 26, 2014
The preparation of electoral rolls and solving of other issues related to the early parliamentary elections in Ukraine, e.g. precincts, voting ballot boards, etc., has begun. The elections will take place on October 26, 2014, according to the information posted on the official website of the Central Election Commission.
The President of Ukraine has already signed Executive Order No. 690/2014 on pre-term termination of the powers vested on the Verkhovna Rada of the seventh convocation and appointment of early elections and setting the date for early elections.
The citizens of Ukraine dwelling in Crimea and Sevastopol city will not be able to vote in the temporary occupied territory. However, they can appeal to the voting precinct in continental Ukraine.
The political parties should nominate their candidates for upcoming elections starting from August 28 to September 15. Self-nominated candidates can register from August 28 to September 25.
The money in the reserve fund will be spent for the electoral campaign. According to the data from the CEC, around 980 million hryvnias will be allocated.
