PRC’s GDP growth slows
In January-March 2013 China's GDP grew by 7.7% compared to Q1 2012, as reported by the State Statistics Bureau of the PRC.
At the same time, compared with Q4 2012, GDP increased only by 1.6%, while experts predicted 1.9%.
After the results for Jan-Mar 2013 were published, the World Bank made a growth forecast with a 0.1% downgrade to 8.3%, whereas previously the experts predicted China’s economic growth at 8.4%.
