Elon Musk indicated that one of novelty products from Tesla will see the light on October 17. According to him, this product will become “a surprise for most people”, TASS reports.

US businessperson Elon Musk, which is the Head of Tesla Motors, specializing on the production of electromobiles, announced two new products this month. He posted the relevant statement in his Twitter microblog on Sunday.

Musk indicated that one of the novelty products from Tesla will see the light on October 17. According to the entrepreneur, this product will become «a surprise for most people”. The second novelty product will be presented on October 28, jointly by Tesla and SolarCity energy company. It became known about the planned merger of these two firms in August.

The businessperson did not explain in his message what products he referred to. It was previously expected that on October 28 Tesla and SolarCity can demonstrate sun batteries of a new type, which they can plan to produce. As previously Musk told, it refers to the start of roof production, the whole surface of which will be a solid sun battery.

This method, as the businessperson assured, differs from the traditional technology, providing the installation of sun batteries on the ordinary roof. This will be “a sun roof, but not roof modules”, Musk explained.

It is unknown yet what Tesla is going to show on October 17. The observers of the informational portal Re/code, specializing on technology, in particular, believe that the novelty product can become the powerful accumulator or a new version of autopilot for electromobiles.
