Canada did not change his position regarding Ukraine after “behind the scenes” negotiations with Moscow.
“The current government is conclusive in its support of Ukraine and its disapproval of the Russian aggression… Canada was and will be always with Ukraine and will continue to hold Russia accountable”, Ukrinform quotes Canada’s MFA representative Pamela Goldsmith-Jones.
At the beginning of the month, the negotiations between high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Canada, at which the question of Ukraine was raised among other topics, were held in Moscow.
Previously Correspondent.net reported that President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko brought in the Verkhovna Rada the agreement on free trade area with Canada.
