Result coincides with analysts’ expectations
Consumer prices in 17 countries of the euro zone in July 2013 rose by 1.6% compared to the same period in 2012. This is stated in the notice of European statistical agency Eurostat.
The report states that level of price increases fully coincided with analysts' expectations.
Basically, in July of this year, the euro area noted rising prices for food, alcohol and tobacco (3.5%), electricity (1.6%) and services (1.4%).
