Hearings on the case of Pavlo Lapshin will be held on January 14, 2014
Hearing on the case of Ukrainian, Pavlo Lapshin, on terrorism charges in effect will begin January 14, 2014, Kommersant-Ukraine writes.
Preliminary hearing at the Central Criminal Court of Great Britain lasted about half an hour. It determined the procedure of Pavlo Lapshin case, who is accused of murder, unlawful acts with explosives and preparing acts of terrorism.
Given the seriousness of charges, the court decided to choose for accused as a precautionary measure to take under arrest till the trial. After hearing the representative of prosecution Louis Gray and lawyer Yen Speed, the judge appointed a session to start on January 14.
By the end of August, authorities have time to prepare evidence for presentation in court proceedings.
Scheduled for October 21 preliminary hearing on case essentially, where the defendant can admit or deny the guilt. At the same meeting, evidence of prosecution has to be presented for the first time.
