Moscow is ready for the dialogue with Washington on all issues of global cybersecurity; however, the opposition of the current US President Donald Trump hinders him from building the team for the beginning of practical cooperation, Special Representative of RF President for International Cooperation in Information Security and Ambassador-at-Large of RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrei Krutskikh told RIA News.

“Our President (Vladimir Putin) told it in Beijing. In particular, he noted that we proposed the full palette of agreements to the USA, including the prevention of incidents in information sphere, so let’s speak and cooperate”, - Krutskikh said.

According to him, the Russian side proposed its program to US partners, and the cooperation is possible, “if the USA makes constructive suggestions, if they are ready for an equitable dialogue”.

“This is what our President proposes: constructive equitable conversation. Let us discuss this topic seriously, any concrete suggestion, there are plenty of them: from global convention on fighting against cybercrime – its draft was presented by Moscow twice – to the development of rules of the responsible behavior of states in informational space. If US citizens positively respond to any topic, we are ready to discuss deeper and wider. The Russian side has a mobilized team; there are professionals and an ideology of this conversation. But there is no readiness of our partners from the USA to have practical dialogue”, the special representative of the President noted.  

“We all hear that they do not have a team. It is the opposition, who hinders Trump from creating such negotiation team. Of course, all our suggestions remain on the table. Because all these attacks of the global crime, global terrorism, are actual. That is why we need to join forces. We need a joint action plan; we need to synchronize our watches. And Trump’s opponents hinder him from doing it”, - Krutskikh said.
