U.S. President proposed the former Governor of Utah Jon Huntsman for the post of U.S. Ambassador to RF.
U.S. President Donald Trump officially submitted the former Governor of Utah Jon Huntsman for the post of U.S. Ambassador to Russia, according to the press office of the White House, Correspondent.net reports.
“Today, President Donald Trump announced about his intention to nominate the following persons for key posts in administration: Governor of Utah John Huntsman for the post of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary U.S. Ambassador to Russian Federation”, according to the message.
It is noted that Huntsman made a brilliant career of the politician, diplomat and businessman.
Huntsman occupied the post of U.S. Ambassador to China and Singapore and was elected as the Governor of Utah twice. In addition, he is the member of the board of directors of such companies, as Hilton, Chevron, Ford Motor Company and Caterpillar.
Huntsman’s candidature should be now approved by U.S. Senate.
