Despite the meeting with Vladimir Putin, the White House will continue to exert pressure on Russia.
U.S. President Donald Trump endorsed the last version of the draft law on the new sanctions against Russian Federation, new White House Press Secretary Sara Sanders said in the interview with ABC News.
“The administration is supportive of being tough on Russia, particularly in putting the sanctions in place,” Sanders told ABC’s “This Week.”
According to the press secretary, first the version of the draft law was “bad”, but after its finalization by the House of Representatives and Trump’s Senate it became satisfactory.
It is noted that Trump will soon approve and sign the draft law on new sanctions against Russia and Iran.
