Gazprom does not plan to change strategic directions for the activities or correct priority projects due to new U.S. sanctions, according to RAS reports for the first half-year of 2017, RIA News reports.
“The imposed sanctions can potentially influence the implementation of certain projects of the company, lead to deviations from planned project indicators, however, now they are not the basis for changing strategic directions for activities or correcting the list of priority projects of Gazprom, determined by the long-term development program”, according to the report.
The project “Nord Stream-2” implies the construction of two gas pipeline strings with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year from RF coast through the Baltic Seas to Germany. The new pipeline will be built near the operating Nord Stream.
