LUKOIL Upstream Mexico, the subsidiary company of Russia’s Lukoil, will participate again in the oil tender in Mexico, Mexican National Hydrocarbons Commission reports, RIA News reports.
It refers to the tender for 30 land plots, divided into four blocks on deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Lukoil wants to enter the project as the non-operator. Besides it, other 28 companies already prequalified.
In June 2017, LUKOIL International Upstream Holding became the winner of the tender on the oil block in coastal waters of the Gulf of Mexico – one of fifteen, offered for tender. Lukoil offered the royalty, amounting to 75%. The land is located on the oil province Cuencas del Sureste, the area of which is 521 square kilometers.
