The annual profit of Alphabet, Google’s maternal company, exceeded USD 100 bln for the first time for its 20-year history, CNN reports on Friday, 2 February.
The company reported the profit, amounting to USD 32.3 bln for the last quarter of 2017. The total amount for 2017 almost reached USD 110 bln. In 2016, the profit reached up to USD 90 bln.
It is noted that Alphabet became the third among technological companies in the world, which reached the annual profit, amounting USD 100 bln. Previously, this mark was by Amazon in 2015 and Apple in 2011.
As Correspondent.net reports, Alphabet hold the second place in the world in terms of capitalization, which makes up almost USD 700 bln.
