Beijing urges Washington to act according to trade agreements, which were reached during negotiations in May.
The Ministry of Commerce of China states that the trade measures, planned by Washington, contradict with recent agreements between countries, Correspondent.net reports quoting RIA News.
It should be reminded that on May 29, it became known that White House will present the final list of goods from China, to which 25% duty will be applied. In addition, on June 30, U.S. will announce the list of measures on limiting investments and additional control over the export of technologies for Chinese business.
It is noted that Beijing is determined to defend the interests of the state and Chinese people.
“We encourage U.S. side to act in line with the reached joint agreement”, the Ministry of Commerce of China added.
As Correspondent.net reported, in mid-May, the representatives of Washington and Beijing agreed to undertake measures on reducing U.S. trade deficit in regard to trade with China. The parties agreed to increase the export of goods and services from the United States.
After the meeting, Vice Premier of the People's Republic of China Liu He stated that Beijing and Washington agreed not to allow trade war and will stop imposing mutual trade duties.
