During May and June, Twitter blocked over 70 million accounts, suspected of spreading the false information, Washington Post reports quoting its sources, Correspondent.net reports.
On average, for one day Twitter froze one million accounts; the same pace was kept in June. This indicator increased more than twice in comparison to October.
The clearance, conducted for last two months, is so significant that it can lead to reduction of the total number of Twitter users in the second quarter of 2018.
