The cost of agreement of Gazprom with the European Football Union on sponsorship of UEFA Champions League is 210.63 mln euros, according to the materials of the Russian company, Interfax.ru reports.
Gazprom is the partner of UEFA Champions League from 2012. In early 2018, the contract was extended for a new three-year period.
The counterparty to the deal is not specified in materials. However, the term of the contract and time of the beginning of its conclusion is correlated with a new deal with UEFA.
The agreement also provides for sponsorship rights for UEFA Super Cup 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Gazprom is the fifth company after Heineken, Nissan, PepsiCo and Mastercard, which extended the sponsorship agreement with Champions League for 2018-2021 cycle.
