The airline says the strike was far too large scale to be considered «a token strike».
Lufthansa management intends to file a lawsuit against trade union of service workers Ver.di, for the strike, as reported by Lufthansa representatives.
Lufthansa believes that the strike, which was intended as a «warning», nearly paralyzed the work of the company, i.e. it can be regarded as «full strike» (under the laws of Germany these are two different kinds of strikes that require appropriate permissions). Out of 1.72 thousand flights scheduled for 22 April, so far, only 32 were completed.
Airline’s experts estimate Lufthansa’s losses due to the strike around several million euros.
At this point, lawyers are examining all legal aspects, while the final judgment on the claim is still pending.
