The commission’s decision
The National Commission dealing with government licensing in the field of communication and informatization has announced a tender for the third generation system of broadband mobile communications, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports.
Pursuant to the law of Ukraine on radio-frequency bands of Ukraine, the procedure that stipulates holding competitions or tenders to obtain licenses permitting use of radio-frequency bands of Ukraine approved by the National Commission for Regulation of Communication & Informatization on 24.09.2013 under No.625 and registered with the Ukraine’s Ministry of Justice on 14.10.2013, No.1754/24286, at its regular meeting held on December 9, 2014, the National Commission passed a decision on conducting the tender the winner of which will obtain the license for embedding the radio-technology - the digital mobile communication ІМТ-2000 (UMTS), within the brands’ reach: 1920-1935/2110-2125, 1950-1965/2140-2155, 1965-1980/2155-2170 MHz, - the announcement says.
The tender will be launched on February 16, 2015.
In addition, the National Commission formed and approved a composition of a tender committee responsible for carrying out the competition.
