The hackers stole cryptocurrencies, amounting to 32 million dollars from one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges of South Korea Bithumb, Bloomberg reports.
After the robbery, the cryptocurrency exchange suspended its activities, and the victims were promised to obtain compensation.
Bithumb also decided to transfer funds of depositors to the special electronic wallet, disconnected from Internet and less vulnerable to hacker attacks.
The exchange rate of main cryptocurrencies decreased after the news broke of hacking.
It should be reminded that from the beginning of 2018, the perpetrators embezzled over 1.1 billion dollars in cryptocurrency.
